TheMoment

Wandering in the woods,
at the time the sun sat comfortably on the horizon
and without intention set the forest alight
with the magic of its illumination,
for a moment there were ephemeral rivers of gold

I stopped and wondered at the magic of that moment
like life, oh so short

You must give birth to your images, they are the future waiting to be born

  1. Petrus, I really like your inspirational comment: "You must give birth to your images..." I've been feeling overwhelmed lately by all that I think has to be done - not knowing what's real, and what's me failing to distinguish between the important and the not important, and not knowing where to begin, or if I have the strength/capacity to carry out a half of one idea, let alone all of them. There you go, it all sounds confusing. I also feel I'm not sure I have either the technique or resources or talent to bring ideas to life. BUT, reading words like yours, and knowing I've reached some sort of cross-roads or point of exhaustion or an 'enough is enough' point, I know that now I'll begin to be able to work things out...slowly? suddenly? and that it's precisely at the moment of greatest darkness or obstruction that light and a passage forward can be found. Does this make any sense?

  2. Stopped in my tracks! I love this image with the dotted bark and the sun shining through the stacked rocks.
