sometimes
on an ordinary saturday morning
i take a stroll around my house
and i am always and again surprised
at the beauty in some of the views
so close by
then i wonder why i need to go anywhere
when the image of paradise is in my own backyard
"worrying is praying for what you do not want"
This is exactly what I was thinking as I stood in my garden this evening gazing at the beautiful new moon. If I had the means to pay the bills I would be staying home this week and working in the garden or drawing in the studio rather than getting on a plane at the crack of dawn on Wednesday . There is a story, a Buddhist story about two brothers seeking enlightenment. One travels the whirled, the other stays home. Both find the answers. I wish I could recall the exact story....but maybe you know this one, Petrus, and can enlighten me?
ReplyDeleteyes, i feel that way most times.
