dry stone tribute

following the interest on my last dry stone posting,
I will follow this up with some more dry stone.

my dry stone interest having been awakened in Ireland,
I couldn't help noticing the intricacies
of Korean dry stone work.
therefore,
Above some of the many examples.

  1. be sure to find some examples of stone works in Japan-- a culture that really reveres stone and nature and the human connection.

  2. The art of dry stone walling is incredible. And these pictures are a beautiful example of this art. There are many dry stone fences around the volcanic areas surrounding Ballarat that are our local examples of dry stone work. Perfect grided lines stamped upon the landscape to show boundary and keep livestock from roaming.
